Common questions
Straight answers,
before you decide.
If you cannot find your question here, send a message. You do not need a detailed brief to ask.
Getting started
Easy to begin
Do I need to fill in a questionnaire first?
No. You can call, email or send a short message. The detailed questionnaire is optional and can be completed later if it helps.
What should I send in the first message?
A few sentences about what is happening is enough: the device or system involved, and who is affected. You can add detail in the conversation.
Can you help right now?
Tell us what is happening and how urgent it is. We will tell you what we can do and when.
Do you also build websites?
Yes, as a separate service. SaiShift Studio handles brand, websites and marketing. See Studio ↗
Pricing and commitment
Cost and contracts
How is pricing decided?
Fees depend on the agreed scope, complexity and any ongoing service. A proposal or assessment explains the cost before paid work begins.
Can I get help with one issue rather than a contract?
Yes. You can ask about an individual problem or a defined project. Assessment, scope and fees are agreed before work proceeds.
What about parts, licences or equipment costs?
These are itemised when relevant. Ordering, compatibility, availability and warranties are confirmed before committing to hardware work.
Is support available around the clock?
Support hours, response expectations and escalation are defined in your engagement. This site does not imply automatic 24/7 coverage.
On-site and remote
Where the work happens
Do you offer on-site or remote support?
The approach depends on the issue, the location and the agreed service. Tell us where the equipment is and what is happening.
Do you support Macs as well as Windows?
Tell us what you use. We will confirm whether we can support it before any work begins.
Security and data
Access and your information
What access will you need?
Only what the agreed scope requires. We explain what and why before we start, and you decide.
Can you recover lost data?
Recovery is never guaranteed and needs its own assessment. Tell us what is at stake before anything is touched.
Can you guarantee we will not be attacked?
No one can. We reduce avoidable risk and plan for recovery, and we are clear about what is covered.
Working with others
Alongside your existing setup
Can you work with my existing IT person or provider?
Often yes. Tell us who handles what today and we will explain where we could help and where we would not step in.
Existing clients
Already working with us
Where do I send a support request?
Use your agreed support route or client account. If you cannot access it, call or email using the contact details on this site.
Still have a question?
A short message is enough to get started.
